Dense fog cover was witnessed in the night and early morning hours in the state capital making weather conditions intense cold. Little respite from extreme weather came in the form of sun shine during the day while weather remained cool in the state and state capital.
Cold day conditions were witnessed in 20 districts of the state. The day temperature in these districts remained below 20 degrees. There was a cold day in 11 districts while cold wave conditions prevailed in three districts.
The severe cold conditions in Uttar Pradesh is effecting weather conditions in the state. A new system may become active from Tuesday. The weather conditions will remain like this for 2-3 days during the day. The weather will remain like this for the next 24 hours.
Earlier on Sunday, the night temperature in the cities was recorded below 10 degrees. This is the first time in the season, when the minimum temperature in most cities of the state had come down to one digit.
The mercury remained 10 degrees only in Hoshangabad and Satna. It has been foggy and cloudy for two days. It is freezing cold in the city. Apart from the night, the days are also colder.
On the other hand, due to the formation of a cyclonic circle over western Uttar Pradesh, the north wind has taken the form of a cold wave. After this, due to the activation of Western Disturbance, the day and night temperature will increase by 2 to 3 degrees. There will be some relief from cold during this time.
