The MP Nagar police have arrested a contractual employee of United Insurance at MP Nagar for misappropriation of funds of Rs 4.56 lakh by depositing stolen cheques in his friend’s bank account using forged authorized signature of the company.
Police said that accused identified as Sanjay alias Surendra Malviya was arrested for fraudulently withdrawing more than Rs 4 lakh by stealing and using cheque leaves by forging signatures in the year 2017.
The complainant Senior Divisional Manager JK Sablania lodged a complaint with the police and based on the complaint accused was nabbed. Accused was produced in the court and was sent under judicial custody.
A complaint was lodged with the MP Nagar police station and in his complaint the victim stated that in the audit it was found Rs 4.56 lakh were withdrawn using cheque leaves of the company and in the enquiry it was found that the fraud was committed by contractual employee Sanjay alias Surendra Malviya.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 420 of the IPC and have started further investigation.The accused returned the amount after the company found him guilty and later company lodged a complaint with the police.
Meanwhile, director of Avani Sai Homes Private ltd was booked by Kolar police for selling same property to two different people. Police said that the victim Anchal Sharma bought a property from the accused identified as director of Avni Sai Homes Opc Private ltd Durgesh Sharma. The police have registered a case under Section 420 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
