A 21-year old youth, who was injured after his motorbike was hit by a speeding truck at Bypass Road on August 17, died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital on Friday.
According to the police, the deceased Mohanlal Meena's motorbike was hit by a speeding truck bearing registration number PB-10-CW-9006. Meena was rushed to a nearby hospital and when his condition deteriorated he was referred to Best Care hospital in Piplani. Police said that Meena used to visit the city frequently and on August 17 after completing his work he was on his way back to Raisen when his motorbike was hit. The motorbike skidded for few meters after which it rammed into the pavement. The truck driver managed to escape the spot after hitting the motorbike but was later nabbed by the police. After preliminary investigation, a case of rash driving was registered against the errant driver. The truck, which was abandoned by the driver, has been seized. The police have registered a case .
