A four and a half year old boy died while two women and auto rickshaw driver were injured after a car rammed into an auto rickshaw near Kilol park under Shymala Hills police station area in afternoon on Monday.
Injured passengers and driver of auto rickshaw were taken to hospital where four and half year old boy died due to severe injuries while others escaped with injuries.In charge of Shymala Hills police Tarun Bhati said that the car was moving correctly and in right lane while auto rickshaw was speeding and failed to control the vehicle. The women rented the auto rickshaw which was on its way back after visiting boat club area.
Driver of the car was not found under the influence of liquor and was driving car appropriately. The car bearing registration number MHU5141 was seized after the accident.
The deceased was identified as Akshat Chouhan while three persons escaped with injuries. After the preliminary investigation the bodies was sent for the post mortem. The police have registered a case and started further investigation in the accident.
The locals informed the police and on the receipt of the information police team rushed to the spot and started investigation. Police have started investigation regarding the accident as it was not clear that the driver was on fault or some technical fault of the vehicle caused the accident.
