Marking the culmination of a golden fortnight for Madhya Pradesh, Utkarsh Avadhia of Indore secured All-India Rank 2 in NEET UG 2025, as the National Testing Agency announced results on Saturday.

Utkarsh scored a 99.9 percentile. Three other students from the state — Agam Jain (Rank 45), Anubhav Pandey (79), and Mohit Bharti (82) — also featured in the Top 100 list.

A total of 1,18,244 candidates appeared for NEET UG from Madhya Pradesh. Of them, 60,346 qualified — a striking performance that reflects the state’s steadily improving academic competitiveness.

Candidates can access their results on neet.nta.nic.in by entering their admit card number and date of birth. Officials have cautioned students not to panic in case of website slowdowns due to heavy traffic.

Held on 4 May 2025, NEET UG remains India’s largest medical entrance exam, with nearly 20 lakh aspirants competing for limited MBBS and BDS seats across the country.

Madhya Pradesh has 4,938 MBBS seats — 2,488 in 17 government medical colleges and 2,450 in 13 private colleges. Additionally, the state has 1,220 BDS seats in 13 private dental colleges.

While MP ranked 10th in the national Top 100 tally, educators and parents view the consistent presence of state students in the top bracket as an encouraging sign of progress.

Utkarsh now joins a list of recent NEET toppers from Madhya Pradesh, including Pranjal Khatri (2024), Pragati Jaiswal (2023), Sonika Agrawal (2022), Chirag Bansal (2021), and Soumya Shukla (2020).

Adding to the state’s celebrations, Majid Mujahid Hussain from Burhanpur secured All-India Rank 3 in JEE Advanced 2025 — the highest engineering entrance rank from the state. With achievements in both medicine and engineering, students from the state are scripting a new academic chapter — one defined by focus, access, and rising aspirations.
