In the division level crime review meeting held in the month of January by Inspector General of Police, Rural Zone, Indore, Anurag, the SPs of the district were directed to run a campaign to arrest the reward criminals.
The monthly campaign started from 01 February 2025 and was run till 28 February 2025. IG in Indore Zone. Under the guidance of Shri Anurag, effective action was taken under the campaign under the leadership of DIG Nimish Agarwal in Indore Range (Rural) and DIG Siddharth Bahuguna in Nimar Range (Khargone).
In the districts of the zone, under the guidance of the respective Superintendents of Police and gazetted officers, police teams in the districts arrested the wanted criminals.
Under the campaign, 280 absconding criminals with a reward amount of 1002600 (ten lakh two thousand six hundred rupees) and 324 permanent warrants with a reward amount of 515050 (five lakh fifteen thousand fifty rupees) were arrested. In the arrest of absconding criminals, 14 were arrested for murder and attempt to murder, 27 for robbery and loot, 20 for rape cases, 18 for burglary and big theft, 21 for fraud cases and 180 for other crimes. Thus, a total of 280 absconding criminals were arrested. Under the campaign, 604 reward criminals* with a total amount of 15,17,650 (fifteen lakh seventeen thousand six hundred fifty rupees) were arrested in the zone.
