A review meeting chaired by Divisional Commissioner Deepak Singh was held in Indore on Saturday to assess the performance of national health programmes across the division.

Officials present included Joint Commissioner DS Randa, Regional Director Dr Shoji Joseph, Senior Joint Director Dr Poonam Gadaria, district CMHOs and officers from related departments. Singh reviewed the annual progress of programmes such as TB control, DBT, Nikshay Mitra, Ayushman Bharat, malnutrition management, Janani Suraksha Yojana, maternity aid, immunisation and blindness prevention.

He instructed all officers to work with honesty, transparency and compassion within the set deadlines. Chief Health Officers and Civil Surgeons must visit their areas to check if assigned tasks are being performed properly and identify support needed.

Commissioner Singh also directed Dr Gadaria to issue show-cause notices and halt increments of officials showing negligence or indiscipline. Suspension may be considered for dereliction of duty.

He emphasised that complaints received through the CM Helpline reflect citizens’ real concerns and must be resolved promptly. All departments were instructed to ensure quality resolution of pending cases within deadlines. Officials also shared suggestions during the meeting.
