On one hand when the Central and State Government are insisting to follow safety rules to the citizens while driving but the Indore administration is not performing its duty with responsibility on its part for the safety of the people. The recent example is the 7 kilometer four lane road constructed by Indore administration from Rajeev Gandhi square to Rau six lane square. It is really surprising that the four lane constructing agency has not taken any safety measures on this road, like no central line divider, no signboards, no zebra crossing no speed breakers at the dangerous points. No white central line and no white lines on the corners of the road so the driver can be attentive while driving. This is the main road from Indore to Mhow and lakhs of people travel through this road everyday and there are dozens of educational institution colonies on both side of this road.
Even the Indore administration is also plying the ac city bus on this road from Rajeev Gandhi square till Rau six lane square and Mhow.
Few months back due to the absence of divider four students lost their life when the dumper hit their car.
After wards the Indore administration immediately wake up and erected the empty drums of coal tar, painted it white and stick radium films on it and kept it in the centre of road from Rajeev Gandhi square till Rau. But now the drums itself is becoming a danger for the riders on the road as the white colour of the drums has totally vanished, the radium sticker. Now this drums are not visible to the riders in day and night. Indore locals alleged that Indore administration should take some sensible efforts and do proper traffic planning on the road just erecting the proper plastic dividers approved by NHAI and government of India. Also the administration should paint the road on both side and central line by white colour, should place plastic speed breakers at the danger points. Should erect speed limit boards and other sign boards on turns and danger points. locals alleged that it is really surprising why the administration is overlooking the safety measures on this road. And all theses safety measures are in the terms and conditions of the contract and the contractor should have install all this safety measures when he constructed the road.
