Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) Commissioner Chhavi Bhardwaj has asked the officials to increase the revenue collection by 250 per cent, in comparison to previous year. They were also asked to achieve it by imposing actual taxes on the properties after conducting survey of properties.
She was addressing the officials and employees of revenue department on Wednesday. During the meeting instructions for conducting survey of properties in the next 45 days were given and failing to conduct survey in a proper manner would attract strict action.
Zonal officers would submit weekly reports on undergoing works and revenue collection and ward in charges would submit monthly reports on undergoing works and revenue. Weekly review meeting should be conducted by zonal officers to review works and revenue collection.
