A 30-year-old married woman was sexually assaulted in Gulab Nagar under Shahpura police station area on Saturday.
According to the police, the victim was alone at her house on Saturday when the accused arrived and sexually assaulted her and escaped the spot.
The victim reported the incident to her husband who later lodged a complaint with the Shahpura police.
The victim’s son was admitted at a private hospital and her husband was at the hospital to take care of the son.
The accused Anil is victim’s brother-in-law and lives near her house. The accused works as labour. The victim and her husband also works as labour.
The police have registered a case under section 376 of the IPC and have started further investigation.

Meanwhile, a 28-year-old woman was sexually exploited at Housing Board Colony under Nishatpura police station area; a case of sexual assault was registered by Nishatpura police on Saturday.
The victim resides at Housing Board Colony and came in contact with the accused Gulab in the year 2014 when the victim was alone at her house and sexually assaulted her and later he sexually exploited her in the name of marrying her and threatened her not to report the incident to her husband and family .
On Friday the victim’s husband caught the accused with the victim and later lodged a complaint with the police.
The police have registered a case under section 376 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
