As per the orders of Dhar Collector Priyank Mishra and under the guidance of Assistant Excise Commissioner District Dhar Vikramdeep Sangar, taking action against illegal liquor coming from Indore district accused Jojan Singh, son of Hakam Singh, resident of Pithampur, was bringing illegal liquor on Hero Deluxe Motorcycle MP 42 mR 0412 hiding in two sacks on eicher Tarpura Road in Excise Circle Sagaur. 6 boxes of country liquor plain, one box of country liquor masala, containing a total of 350 pav 63 Bulk liter was confiscated under Section 34 (1) (a) and Section 34 (2) (a) of M.P. Excise Act.
A case was registered under the Excise Act 1915 and the accused was arrested and sent to jail. Sources say that regular smuggling of liquor is going on from Indore district to adjoining districts of Indore on two wheelers and four wheelers.
