MP Energy Minister Rajendra Shukla on Friday said in the Assembly that the ruling BJP regime would not tolerate any illegal mining of sand and stones in the State. Replying to the a query of Parul Sahu Keshri of BJP regarding unauthorised mining of sand and stones in Sagar District during the question hour, Shukla said she received an information about illegal mining in the district and an official team would be sent to assess the situation.
“The government is determined to stop all sorts of illegal mining in the state,” the Minister asserted. To another question of Yashpal Singh Sisodiya of BJP regarding amount of the Security Fund being obtained from consumers by the Madhya Pradesh Power Distribution company, Indore and how the fund is being used to provide compensation in case of accident, Shukla informed that every year, the power companies calculate it and if it is found defaulted they charged it from the consumers.
