After the successful completion of Indore Marathon-2014 on the theme of ‘Run for the Homeless’ on the eve of the Foundation Day, IIM Indore celebrated its 18th Foundation Day on Friday. The entire IIM Indore community, and a few alumni of PGP Batch 2012-14 attended the celebration.

The Foundation Day programme began with the welcome address delivered by Professor Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director, IIM Indore. He observed that it is proud moment for all the stakeholders of IIM Indore as the Institute has achieved remarkable heights in terms of student population, academics & courses offerings, locations and infrastructure. He also urged the IIM-I community members to move forward with the intention of strengthening our ability to impact management practices and thought leadership.

The Foundation Day lecture was delivered by Kiran Karnik, former president, NASSCOM. His insightful lecture on Faster Horses to Cars: Thinking Differently covered several examples of how clever innovations multiply products and their uses. They included- Alpesh Bhunjiya, Amit Prakash Sharma, Arunendra Vishwakarma, KP Radhakrishnan, Md M Shaikh Chopdar, Pradeep Sharma, Satendra Singh Rawat and Shreeman Ghosh.
