As per the couplet from Sri Ramcharit Maanas that "No religion is equal to benevolence and no wretchedness is equal to afflicts pains to others". Saints and seers have also taught the society for the benevolence. Similarly Paramhansa Sant Hirdaram Sahib ji had also teach his desciples that if you want happiness in your life, you make others happy. Sant Hirdaram sahib was ailing with prostate enlargement in the year 1993 and suffering from severe pain. Sant ji was then operated in a private Urology hospital.
After getting well, Sant ji was very much worried about the diseases of poor and particularly people living in villages. He started inquiring about how poor villagers get rid from the agony of this disease. Santji was told that there is not such facility of treatment and surgery available in small villages and towns. Simultaneously due to the lack of knowledge and money, they simply bear pains of the disease till their whole life time. Santji also enquired that can these surgeries not be performed in the camps? The answer was that the surgeries are very difficult and risky in nature and same cannot be performed in camps.
Co-incidentally a Sr. urology surgeon from USA Dr. Gopal Badlani came to Kutia for darshans. Sant ji saught his suggestions on this matter also. Feeling the anxiety of Sant Hirdaram Sahibji, Dr. Gopal Badlani assured him that he will train few local surgeons to operate urology patients at Sant Nagar, so as such camps can become possible to organize regularly. By this way, organizing urology camps could become possible from the year 1994 and onwards.
Siddh Bhau, staunch desciple and successor of Sant ji assumed responsibility of co-ordination, supervision and guidance to fellow office bearers and volunteers to undertake the camps. Shri Mahesh Dayaramani Sec. Jeev Sewa Sansthan assigned the task to fetch donations from the philanthropists. Like wise Hero Gyanchandani and L.C. Janiyani were also given overall responsibility of organizing camps. As many as 300 volunteers of suburb had voluntarily give consent to render their free services. Looking to the encouragement of worker and atmosphere of the camp, the people started feeling that the camps are not lesser than the "Mahayagnas".
Mahesh Dayaramani always be in touch with the philanthropists based at abroad and the different parts of the country to fetch the donation in bulk. Approximately an expenditure of over 15-20 lakh was being incurred in one camp performing 125 surgeries. Hong Kong based philanthropist Kan H. Lakhani and Gul Chandiramani of Dubai usually donated required funds. It was very difficult to collect funds, but Mahesh made constant efforts and be in touch with the generous donors throughout all seasons. Many times people disgracefully behaved with Mahesh but he never cared about their humiliation as to treat it as a task of Santji. He always work beyond persistent of own respect or dishonor.
Jeev Sewa Sansthan had organised 97 Free Urology camps since 1994 to 2023. Over 50,877 patients have so far been diagnosed and treated. Out of them 11,061 patients were operated for their various urinary disorders.
