In the meeting, violation of lease deed condition by Mayur Hospital management and the C-21 Mall was broached upon at length. As was informed, Mayur hospital management is reported to have violated lease deed by making commercial use of the land meant for the residential purposes.

Similarly, violation of lease deed has also been alleged in the construction if C 21 mall in the city as proprietor of this mall is alleged to have constructed the mall by making rationalisation of lands.

Taking a serious note of this, the IDA board on Monday directed for the cancellation of the lease deed of the C 21 mall in case of any violation of the lease deed conditions. As decided in the meeting, lease deeds of lands which had been allotted to Siyaganj businessmen behind C 21 mall will also be cancelled from where there have been reports of violation of the lease deed conditions with the businessmen allegedly changing use of the lands.

The Siyaganj businessmen had been given plots on lease behind C 21 mall and they were supposed to complete construction works on the plots by December 31, 2006. Surprisingly, large number of businessmen have yet not started construction works on these plots in contravention to the lease deed conditions. Of 123 plots allotted to tea vendors, 52 plots are still lying open with no construction works.

Similarly 176 plots had been allotted to grocery merchants, out of which 92 plots are lying open. Similarly in New lohan Mandi also, many businessmen who have been allotted plots on lease basis, are yet to start construction works.
