leader of Opposition in the State Assembly Ajay Singh said on Friday that he would respond to the questions put forth by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Vice-President and parliamentarian Prabhat Jha, only after Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan replies to the allegations of corruption leveled against him.
“The Chief Minister should first respond to the questions that have been raised against him in the no-confidence motion and even those raised outside. The moment Chief Minister will tender his reply I will also answer to Jha’s allegations point by point,” Singh told.
He also said that the chief minister was in the habit of using others’ shoulders to fire on those who opposed him. “Since he did not have any reply to the questions raised on him in the no-confidence motion, the chief minister used the shoulders of a Jaichand within the Congress to attack us,” he said alluding towards Choudhary Rakesh Singh Chaturvedi, who crossed the floor and joined BJP on Thursday subverting the no-confidence motion brought by Congress against the Government.
He said that the Chief Minister should face the allegations of corruption leveled against him on his own rather than using others’ shoulders to attack the Opposition.
“As far as Prabhat Jha is concerned, he should first answer the questions raised on him for misuse of his powers and influence to provide immoral benefit to his son,” Singh alleged. Singh said that he would provide answer to every allegation leveled on him by his detractors only after he gets reply of the allegations he has leveled against the Chief Minister.
