The French singer Hyleen will in city of lakes to give a live performance at Bharat Bhavan on Friday. The event is happening under the international festival Bonjour India 2017-18.
This is organised by Alliance francaise de Bhopal in collaboration with the French Embassy in India, Gatecrash and Bharat Bhavan, Department of Culture, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
Born in southern France in 1991, Hyleen is a young and talented author, composer and gifted with a charismatic voice whose equally charismatic guitar playing skills have never left a person feeling indifferent.
Her style of music involves Soul, Funk, Neo-Soul and Pop that also sometimes includes Jazz thereby giving her a style of her own.
Self-taught, Hyleen started playing guitar in high school in her guitarist elder brother’s band. When the latter left home, Hyleen was left alone and would find company in music. She quickly completed writing her first song and became passionate about composing. She then decided to study musicology at Nice to gain more knowledge. The next year, she decided to shift to Sorbonne at Paris for her second year where she joined the Big Band of jazz as a guitarist.
After releasing her first album U and I she started to travel around the world for her album mainly in New York, Paris and Japan.
After a period of research and composition and of course travelling to places like India, Polynesia Hyleen released her album B-Side live to showcase all possible dynamics of the trio in studio just like on stage.
Following a successful first tour in 2016, Bonjour India offers to Hyleen the opportunity to come back to India and present her music to cities.
