A dalit woman was sexually assaulted by the employer of her husband at Barkhedi under Jehangirabad police station area. A case of has been registered with the Jehangirabad police station on Friday but no arrest has been made so far.
Police said the victim who hailed from Narsinghgarh, came to the city to meet her husband as he had not been visiting home at Rajgarh for the last couple of days.
A police officer further informed that the victim’s husband used to work for the accused, identified as Nafees Qureshi, who owned a chicken shop at Berkhedi railway crossing and on Thursday when the victim arrived at the shop her husband had gone to market. Accused told that her husband would arrive soon and she could wait in the shop. However, after some time, he took his scooter and on the pretext of taking the victim to her husband took her to his home and allegedly raped her.
A complaint was made with the Jehangirabad police and the police have registered a case under section 376 of the IPC and section 3(2) (5) of the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act.
