Suspecting illicit relationship a 47-year-old married woman was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon by her husband at Chhawani Pathar under Bilkharia police station area on Tuesday.Police said, a fight broke out after the accused husband Nandlal of the victim Kaushalya Bai attacked her with sharp edged weapon in an inebriated state. The incident took place when the son was not present.Accused and victim work as labourers and accused is addicted to liquor. The accused suspects of her character and two used to have fights.
On Monday night accused came heavily drunk and attacker his wife injuring her in her stomach and back. Hearing the screams neighbours and her son rushed to her rescue during which accused escaped from the spot and is still missing.
The police have registered a case under sction 307 of the IPC and started further investigation in the matter.Complaint was lodged by victim’s son stating that his parents had bitter fight for the past few days after his father used to suspect his mother of having illicit relationship and on Monday he came and without having talk with mother he attacked with a sharp edged weapon.
