Madhya Pradesh Human Rights Commission took cognisance over closing of Government school due to having only 21 students at Moripura village in Dhar district and has demanded a report over the issue by Principal Secretary School Education and District Education Officer.

The parents of the students are facing problems to take children to nearby school as the stretch of 1.5 km road to the school in Kalalpura is filled of mud and is also filled with water of Ramadham pond which forces the parents to carry their ward on their shoulders.

Commission has asked Principal Secretary of School Education that if there is provision of relaxation in rules for uneven and inaccessible places under Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act-2009 than for what reason the school has been closed and is this in violation of RTE Act.

Reason of the closure of the school at Moripura and its transfer to Kalapura school, and its distance from  the Moripura school and how would the student reach the school have been asked by the commission from District Education Officer Dhar.

In another case commission has asked reason behind issuing of orders of demolishing by Tehsiladar of government school at Pratapura gram panchayat in Chhattarpur.

A city based firm GD Minerals was been granted a hill on lease adjacent to houses near Pratapura and it is alleged that in collusion with the contractor Tehsildar Rakesh Shukla has ordered demolishment of government school.

The villagers have handed over a memorandum to the governor regarding complaint of the contractor who had demolished the school in collusion with Tehsildarl; it established by collection money from the villagers and they have also done plantation on the hill which was leased.

Chhattarpur collector has been asked a report demanding explanation on demolishing of government school, permission of establishment of government was provided by concern department, where would the school run after its demolition and school housed how many rooms.
