As the city is in its festive mood, the shopping for the festival is going on in its full swing. The ‘Fuhar Mela 2017’ is being organised by the State Government at Bhopal Haat. The exhibition-cum-sale began here on Saturday.
The exhibition-cum-sale that will be continued till August 23 is evoking a good response by the shopaholics.
On Monday, the people were seen shopping with great fervor and usually a heavy crowd was also noticed in the evening. Especially, the ladies of the city are more captivated towards the fair as it has got different versions of female stuff.
This annual fair has brought varieties of special items from different regions of the country. As the festive season is on people are seen excited to shop at the fair. Different vendors from across the country have put up their stalls at the exhibition cum sale.
The exhibition cum sale showcases a huge variety of decorative items, rugs, carpets, imitation jewellery, dress materials, ladies hand-bags, metal crafts, bamboo furniture and sculptures of jute and metal. Around 34 SHGs have participated in the fair displaying a collection from Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Uttrakhand and Chhattisgarh.
It is to be noted that the shopping fairs at Bhopal Haat become more interesting with the cultural events organised there. Events like orchestra, ghazal nights are planned for the entertainment of the Bhopalites in the fair. The city of lakes got embellished with different traditions and cultures of the country under one roof at Fuhar Mela 2017.
