Sensation prevailed in Pushpa Nagar area after a woman and her daughter were found murdered under mysterious circumstances on Saturday evening. Sunita lalwani (40) and her daughter Divya (19) were found lying in a pool of blood at their house around 7 pm when Sunita’s husband Raju returned home after work. Raju lalwani, who sells plastic goods on a handcart, subsequently informed police. A police team reached the spot and after preliminary investigation sent the bodies for post-mortem examination.
Surprisingly, the neighbours remained unaware of the incident till Raju lalwani returned home. Police claimed circumstantial evidence suggested that the two were attacked by more than one miscreant. Forensic investigation conducted so far revealed that the incident might have occurred at around 2.30 pm. Multiple deep wounds in arms, wrist and below neck suggested that the miscreants were attacked with sharp-edged weapons and were aimed to kill the two.
