Miscreants targeted a house at Barkhedi and escaped with valuables worth Rs 1 lakh; Jehangirabad Police have started investigation.
Police said that the victim Nazma Khan along with his family on the occasion of Eid and when they returned valuables were found missing and a complaint was lodged by the victim with the Jehangirabad police.
In the complaint the victim stated that they left the house for the festival and when returned in the evening valuables were found burgled.
The victim claimed that gold and silver jewelry and cash were burgled. The victim has claimed that the total loss in the burglary is around Rs 1 lakh.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case of burglary against unidentified miscreants and have started further investigation.
Meanwhile, Rs 7.5 lakh cash went missing from Shalimar Colony from a traders house; Misrod police have started investigation into the matter.
The victim Vijay Paswani is a trader and had gone out of town for some business work on June 18, when he returned cash was missing.
Police suspect that miscreants were aware of the whereabouts of the cash. The CCTV cameras of the area and nearby cameras have been checked and to establish the identity of the miscreants has been started as investigation is on.
The victim has raised an allegation that his maid Lata Bai has stolen the money.
