Miscreants decamped with valuables worth Rs3 lakh from Arera Colony under Habibganj police station area on Thursday. Foreign currency notes, gold jewellery and Rs25,000 cash were burgled from Sitaram Guru’s residence while he had gone to visit his relative and when he returned at around 7 pm he found that the locks were broken and on entering the house he found that the house was ransacked told the police.A complaint was lodged with the police and after the preliminary investigation further investigations were started.
In the complaint victim claimed that the gold jewellery, foreign currency and Rs25000 cash were missing.The burglary took place within a short duration of time which suggests that the miscreants were aware and was hinted off regarding the whereabouts of the victim which provided an easy entry and exit.Victim is retired BSNl employee. His son works in Kuwait and around 150 Kuwati Dinars were burgled along with other valuables.
