House at Rajiv Nagar under Kamla Nagar police station was targeted by miscreants and valuables worth lakhs of rupees were burgled on Wednesday.
Police said that the victim Santosh Ahire had been out in the day and when he returned after work at around 10 in the night valuables were found burgled.
The victim in his complaint stated that he had gone for work and when he returned door was found open and locks broken. On entering the house victim found that the valuables were targeted by the miscreants.
Victim approached police and lodged a complaint. Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under sections 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.
The victim works with private firm. The security guards would be questioned.
Police said that after checking the valuables victim found that cash and house hold goods and electronic goods were burgled. The total loss in the burglary is around would be provided later by the victim.
Police suspects that the burglars were aware regarding the whereabouts of the family and committed the burglary when the victim was away. The CCTV footage cameras would be checked.
Meanwhile, miscreants targeted house of a banker at Old Subhash Nagar and escaped with valuables worth Rs 75000 ; victim had to Sidhi and when he returned housed was found ransacked.Charan Mishra had gone to Sidhi to attend a religious function at his house on May 15 and when he returned house was found burgled. Aishbagh police have started investigation.
