The Madhya Pradesh Human Rights Commission (MPHRC) taking cognisance of the incident of taking a newborn’s body as hostage by Sudha Nursing Home in Jabalpur, told the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) to submit a report within seven days.
The MPHRC has taken cognizance of the incident of first keeping hostage procreative mother and body of her newborn baby by Sudha Nursing Home in Right Town of Jabalpur and later fled away by leaving the procreative and her husband just outside the nursing home at the place of leaving them at the Government hospital. The Commission has asked the CMHO Jabalpur to submit his detailed report over the incidence before it within seven days.
Notably, Ramsakhi wife of a Tribal Krishna Pal Bega resident of village Manjhwani in Umariya district was referred from the Community Health Centre (CHC) to Jabalpur by Janani Express but the driver of the Janani Express fled away after leaving the pregnant lady to the Sudha Nursing Home instead of leaving her at Government hospital.
The husband of the lady under the impression that this is Government hospital admitted her in the nursing home where the newborn expired during the delivery. As the husband of procreative lady was not having money the Sudha Nursing Home made his wife and body of newborn hostage.

The Commission has wished to know that for how long the lady was kept in the CHC and why the need to refer her to Jabalpur arisesIJ Was someone from the CHC sent with the Janani ExpressIJ Why the driver of Janani Express left her at private nursing home at the place of government hospital and fled awayIJ Inform all this in detail, said the Commission to the CMHO.
