The Congress party has alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Government of the State is acting like political terrorists and it appears that instead of elected Government, Hitler’s Government is ruling in Madhya Pradesh.
Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) chief spokesman KK Mishra in a statement on Monday, said, “The police action on Congress leaders and workers in Harda on Sunday night was taken on the directives of the State Government. This is barbaric suppression besides the cane-charge on peaceful protestors seems like political terrorism is going on in the State and it appears that in place of elected Government, Hitler’s Government is ruling in Madhya Pradesh.”
Mishra further said that the Harda police and the district administration have not only surrendered before the atrocities of former minister Kamal Patel, but have also permitted him and his family to play havoc throughout.
The police administration under pressure crossed all limits of barbarism and cane charged the Congress leaders and workers, who were protesting peacefully on late night on Sunday while personnel in civil dress claiming to be police personnel misbehaved with the women workers present in the protest, he added.
He requested the home minister of the State Babulal Gaur to order enquiry of the inhumane act of the police administration of Harda and to punish the guilty, else the Congress would be left with no other option except for taking law in its hands. The Congress is capable of giving befitting reply, he added.
Meanwhile, a delegation of the MPCC led by its vice president Manak Agarwal called on Director General of Police (DGP) and handed over a memorandum claiming that the peaceful Congress workers protesting in Gandhian way were brutally beaten up by the Harda police and demanded inquiry into the incidence and punishment for the guilty.
