The employees of Hindustan Power expressing solidarity with colleagues donated 30 units of blood to be used in the treatment of medivacuated colleagues from Anuppur.
The company had medivacuated 5 employees/ workers suffering from burn injuries from Bilaspur and Raipur to New Delhi to ensure specialised treatment. The company doctor Dr Praveen Jaiswal, said, “Upon shifting of the patients to Delhi, there was requirement for blood and we had requested our employees to come forward and donate. There was an overwhelming response and we received more units of blood than required, including the contingency amount. In total 30 units of blood was given to the hospital.”
