Under class presentation of Madhya Pradesh School of Drama (MPSD), a Hindi play ' Sab Thath Pada Reh Jayega' was staged at Ravindra Bhavan on Monday.

The play is directed by Ranjit Kapur and was performed by the students of MPSD. It is to be noted that the class presentation will be performed on Tuesday as well by the second batch of students.

'Sab Thath Pada Reh Jayega' is an Indian adaptation of the classic American comedy 'You can't take it with you' in the year 1936.

The Hindi parallel of the title is taken from the satirical verses written by the famous 18th century Urdu poet Nazeer Akbarabadi, which emphasizes that pride in worldly success is foolish, because human circumstances can change in a flash, material wealth and splendor is always transient, and death is the only certainty for all men.

The story revolves around the crazy world of Singhaniyas and Mukherjees.  Nanaji  under whose guidance this family of three generations are passionately pursuing their respective hobbies. Their incompetence does not come in the way and they keep marching to the beat of their own drum, with pride and joy. The younger daughter of Mukherjees, Vinnie, is the only relatively normal member of the eccentric family.

Though she immensely loves her family, she is too mortified of any prospect of getting married to the man she loves Arun, the only son of the successful and wealthy Singhaniyas.

The first meeting with the Singhaniyas turns out to be a complete disaster as the family is caught off guard by the sudden and unexpected visit of Singhaniyas, a night before the planned dinner party. Vinnie's worst fears come true as the family gets exposed and embroiled in best of their antics.

Thinking that the damage is done beyond repair, a dejected Vinnie decides to leave home. Eventually, Nanaji takes control of the situation and encourages everyone to do what makes them happy as life is blessed only once. The play was beautifully designed and presented, leaving the audience mesmerised.
