The Madhya Pradesh High Court would hear on November 9, the petitions filed by former Congress State spokesman Arif Masood and social activist Awdesh Bhargava in connection with SIMI activists' jailbreak followed by their encounter by the police in Bhopal on October 31.
The Public Interest litigations (PIl) filed separately demanding judicial inquiry of the Bhopal encounter would now be heard jointly by the High Court on November 9.
The petitioners on Monday submitted necessary documents, CD and photographs in support of their petition in the court.
The petitioners are demanding that the judicial probe by retired High Court judge ordered by the State Government should be replaced with one by a sitting judge and that too under the monitoring of the High Court.
