BJP president and MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan claimed that the 75-80 per cent polling for the civic elections reflected the electorates’ trend towards BJP. Chouhan thanked the voters of the State for their enthusiasm towards polling and greeted them for peaceful polling.

Chouhan in a statement here on Tuesday said, “The electorate of the State by coming out in large numbers to vote in the civic elections exhibited their positive approach towards development.”

Chouhan further said that by increasing the poll per cent in the civic elections the people of the state expressed their interest in the development oriented administration of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the welfare policies and ideological philosophy of BJP.

He said that the increase in vote per cent has strengthened the candidature of BJP candidates and the results of these elections are clear like writing on the wall, the BJP would get more representation than the 2009 civic elections.

The BJP state president said that the increase in voting per cent in the two phased elections of the state for municipal corporations, municipalities and city councils of the small towns proves that the city voters are also enthusiastic for regional development.

They have seriously considered development for their respective areas before going to cast their votes, he added.

He said that the BJP government of the state has made comprehensive arrangements of drinking waters in the cities and towns of the state.

The people of the state have on the one hand lauded the government efforts but on the other hand their

expectations with the government have also gone up, he added.

Chouhan and BJP state organizational general secretary Arvind Menon while praising the electorate for their democratic awareness greeted them for turning out in large numbers to vote for the second phase of polling for civic elections.
