Heavy spells of rain were witnessed in the city on Monday evening . Rainfall was witnessed after dark cloud covered the city on Sunday evening which faded away in the morning on Monday.
Met department forecasted clear weather conditions on Monday morning but sun light created hot and humid conditions which induced rainfall during the day. light and heavy brief showers were witnessed on Monday.
Met department told that a system is active over Rajasthan which is inducing light rainfall across the State while the system over the State has moved towards Uttar Pradesh and which would induce rainfall over Satna, Rewa aand North east region of the State. The system would also induce rainfall over eastern part of the state.
In the present weather conditions State has good amount of moisture due to good amount of rainfall across the state and which has made the soil moistened and is acting like sea surface and which would maintain the pattern of light to medium rainfall at several places across the state.
Sunday evening witnessed good amount of rainfall for around an hour.
City has received the normal rainfall of the season. The normal average rainfall for city is 109 cm and till Sunday the city has received a total of 88.29 cm which is considered normal rainfall as 19 percent more or less rainfall is considered normal.
All the nearby dams of the city have attained maximum water levels. Warning of heavy rainfall at several places in the State has been issued by the Met department.
