The Madhya Pradesh Human Rights Commission (MPHRC) taking cognisance of the media reports, asked Principal Secretary, Public Health and Family Welfare Department to take disciplinary action against the guilty staff nurse and concerned health staff and issued notice to the Morena Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) under section 13 (2) of Protection of Human Rights Act to appear before the Commission and submit his report in the case.

The case is of Morena district’s Porsa Community Health Centre (PSHC) where on June 26 Kiran wife of Madan Mohan Tomar had normal delivery at 4.10 am, after the normal delivery the on duty nurses Usha Silawat and Reena Maliviya did not followed safe delivery standards due to that the procreative had survical tear during delivery causing bleeding and making condition serious. She remained in the PSHC for five hours. At about 6 – 6.30 am the husband of procreative informed Dr SN Mewafarosh residing in the hospital campus that the staff nurse is not paying attention towards the serious condition of procreative and is demanding money then Dr Mewafarosh checked the procreative at 8 am and injection to stop bleeding and further treatment was given and the patient was referred to Morena. As the Janni Express was not available arrangements were made to send her Morena by other vehicle.

The CMHO Morena on instructions of Commission conducted enquiry into the case and submitted his report in that he said that during delivery safe delivery standards were not followed by the on duty nurses due to that the procreative reached in critical position and that disciplinary action is in the pipeline against both the nurses for negligence during duty.
