Health Minister shielding guilty pvt colleges?

Published on:

Health Minister Narottam Mishra safeguarded the guilty medical colleges from registration of criminal cases against them. An official note-sheet of the Minister is doing rounds on e-mails and social networking sites.

last year, an issue of illegally admitting the students in MBBS and BDS courses in few Government and private medical colleges had come to fore. To safeguard the directors of private colleges and Deans of Government colleges, Health Minister Narottam Mishra had initiated a note-sheet stating that stern action should be taken against the guilty.

On this basis, the guilty colleges were simply fined and they remained scot-free. Besides, they also have filed appeal against his decision of the State Government.

Notably, the Director, Health Services had recommended that an FIR be registered against the guilty directors of the private colleges and deans of Government institutions. However, the Minister changed the rules by intervening in the matter.

Surprisingly, the mail reached media persons through e-mail address nm02850@gmail.com of Narottam Mishra. Probably, it was a fake e-mail ID created in the name of the Minister. However, the note-sheet attached to the mail was original.
