A division bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court here on Monday set aside a Public Interest litigation (PIl) challenging allotment of 40 acres of land to Patanjali Group at the nearby Pithampur industrial area.
The High Court while setting aside the PIl, also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on the petitioner for spoiling the precious time of the court. Taking cognizance of the PIl, the division bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court (Indore bench) comprising justice PK Jaiswal and justice SK Awasthi sometime back had completed hearing in the case and reserved its judgment which finally was pronounced on Monday.
