The Madhya Pradesh High court has issued orders to dispose of all the cases pending for five or more than five years by March 5, 2015 to Higher and lower Judicial Service Judges.
In the orders issued in February 7, 2015 the Jabalpur High Court has set timeline for disposal of cases in a quarter.
The orders were issued after difference in pending cases in districts and disposing cases pending for five or more than five years in different categories during the quarter which ended in the month of December 2014 was found after which Chief Justice issued orders to limit the number of cases disposed according to the resources available at district in the form of judges and judges available in specific categories. After reviewing the situation the CJ decided that Judges of Higher Judicial Service category have to dispose 12 cases in a quarter while Judges of Subordinate Judicial Service have to dispose 53 cases in a quarter.
