Madhya Pradesh High Court on Monday issued notices to 29 people, including the State Industries Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya and Indore Mayor, in connection with alleged irregularities in sale of land belonging a closed mill of National Textiles Corporation, to a realtor.

Notices were issued by Justice NK Modi of Indore bench on a petition filed by senior Congress leader and former Minister Suresh Seth, challenging the lower court order on the issue. The lower court had dismissed his petition, his lawyer Sohanlal Nagar told reporters.

Seth had blamed Vijaywargiya, Indore Mayor Krishna Murari Moghe and others for alleged irregularities in the sale of 15.32 acres of land  in 2007 to Mumbai’s real estate company in an illegal manner for Rs 96.51 crore. He alleged that NTC official Deepak Saxena, Vijayvargiya, Moghe, the then District Collector and some others had entered into a conspiracy for the transaction.
