The Hazaribagh administration is ready to conduct free and fair polls in all Assembly segments of the district. On Sunday DC Sunil Kumar called an emergency meeting of all the important officials of the district to discuss the matter. At this meeting he directed the officials to constitute cells necessary for the conduct of free and fair polls and by Monday all cells should become functional.
According to the direction of State Election Commission, the district administration has already sent names of returning officers for different Assembly segments of the district. Election in Hazaribagh Sadar, Barhi, Barkattha and Mandu Assembly segments will take place under the responsibility of Hazaribagh district administration.
The administration has sent the names of SDO Sadar Sandeep Kumar and SDO Barhi Harsika Singh as the returning officers of Sadar and Barhi Assembly segments while it has recommended the names of Additional Collector of Hazaribagh Ranjan Kumar for Mandu and land Revenue Deputy Collector Sudhir Kumar Gupta for Barkattha Assembly segments.
Administration has also recommended three names for each of these four Assembly segments as assistant returning officers. The Ramgarh and Barkagaon Assembly election will be conducted by the Ramgarh district administration.
In this meeting DC Sunil Kumar also announced the names of in-charges and sub in-charges of different cells. He directed the in-charges and sub in-charges to prepare action plan for the work allotted to them. He also cleared that as per the directions of Election Commission massive campaign for awareness should be launched immediately. For training of staffs he said that in first phase the master trainers and trainers will get the training and then the staffs will be trained. The training process for polling personals will be concluded in four phases. He directed the block and police officials to make the route chart and fragmentation of booths report within three days so that further arrangements could be done.
In this meeting for purchase of materials the rates approved during parliamentary polls will be applicable and for preparing the list of polling personnel’s names will be called once again from all the organisations. DC directed the DPRO to send reports of election activities to local mediamen regularly.
