Harish Kolasani, the National President of National Council Of Asian Indian Associations (NCAIA) expresses gratitude to the WellSpan York Hospital for donating ventilators to help India with its Covid-19 crisis.
The NCAIA is an umbrella organization in association with over 72 Indian American community organizations that has been working in the United States since the past sixteen years with the aim to unite, celebrate and help each other.
Under the NCAIA, the National India Hub has been initiated as an organization that looks to set up community centers across the United States for people of Indian origin and other ethnic groups.
It has partnered with numerous support groups and Government and healthcare organizations with the hope to pool resources and extend many kinds of help to Indians in the United States of America.
Currently, the National Council Of Asian Indian Associations, NRI SEVA Foundation and the National India Hub have been working on a project to extend help and respond to the Covid-19 crisis in India.
Many healthcare groups and hospitals in the United States that are either connected or in partnership with the India Hub have made donations of medical and healthcare supplies to be sent to India.
News reports have continued to show that in the middle of the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic in India, local and public hospitals are struggling with the insufficiency of ventilators. Responding to the request made by NCAIA’s Director Dr. Arul Vig, The WellSpan York Hospital in Pennsylvania, United States has advanced a donation of six quality ICU ventilators to the Covid-19 Crisis Response project of the NCAIA and India Hub.
