A woman Aanganwadi worker has lodged a complaint against Mhow janpad panchayat inspector for mentally harassing her by giving indecent proposals to her.
The police have initiated an investigation, but the offender is yet to be arrested.
In her complaint, the woman worker posted with Mhow Janpad panchayat told the police that the offender Rajendra Khare who is posted as panchayat inspector in Mhow janpad panchayat not only physically and mentally harassed the women Anganwadi worker, abused her, did dirty gestures and also talked dirty on her phone and posted dirty words on her WhatsApp account.
According to the victim, the panchayat inspector Khare kept a bad eye on her for long, initially the anganwadi worker ignored the misconduct of the panchayat inspector Khare as they were in the same office and every day she has to deal with him. But inspector Rajendra Khare day by day increased the frequency of his misconduct. In the month of January all the anganwadi workers of Mhow tehsil went Indore head office for training during the training and the panchayat inspector Rajendra Khare roamed around her and talked dirty and made dirty gestures to her.
When the victim did not respond the accused posted some dirty things on her mobile phone and recently he talked very dirty to the victim on phone. At last she complained to kishanganj police station. ASI Jagdish Dube is investigating the matter.
SDM Mhow Sandeep GR told The Pioneer that eve-teasing and physical and mental harassment of the women at the Government offices will not be tolerated at any cost and the administration will deal with the matter seriously. “I have issued a show-cause notice to the accused.” he added.
It is to be noted that panchayat inspector Rajendra Khare is posted in Mhow Janpad panchayat for more than 10 years by his approach. locals demanded the immediate transfer and other disciplinary action on the accused Khare.
