Annoyed over teasing and molestation by youth a 19-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at Chola Mandir area on Saturday; girl was molested by youth from his village in Satna.
The deceased Prachi Sen was BSc second year student, reason for the suicide remained unclear. On Saturday after returning from college, the student listened watched TV with her mother and during which she got a call over mobile phone of a youth from her village and after which she committed suicide.
A diary was found at the spot in which a name 'Abhi' was mentioned. The younger brother of the student says that the boy from his village used to harass sister over the phone.
The deceased hailed from Satna and used to live with the family in a rented house in Chola Mandir area and was pursuing BSc from MLB College. Prachi's father is differently able while her mother's mental condition is not good. Prachi came home from college at 3.30 pm on Saturday. Prachi closed the door of the room and when the brother came back, Prachi was found hanging.
Police are checking the mobile of the deceased. A diary was also found which revealed details of deceased youth.
The financial condition of the family was not good and they went to their village in Satna during the lockdown. During this, Prachi got acquainted with the youth of the village. Abhishek says that didi told two days ago that a boy from the village is harassing her.
