The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has claimed that Shivraj Singh Chouhan Government of the State has shown its far-sighted thinking by developing Hanuwantia on the banks of Narmada river as world class tourist place. This would attract domestic tourists and foreigners that would boost the tourism industry besides the country would get foreign currency.
BJP Madhya Pradesh president and MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan in a statement here on Monday said, “Many countries have come out of poverty on the basis of tourism and became prosperous.
India is the only country in the world that has got rich history and nature in heritage that is centre of attraction for tourists from across the world.”
Chouhan further said that India is blessed with natural beauty, panoramic forests, wildlife, rivers, temples and mosques that are unmatched in view of tourism.
BJP government of the state understood this and developed Hanuwantia on the banks of Narmada River as world class tourist place.
This would on the one hand flourish the tourism industry and on the other hand awareness about River Narmada would increase besides helping to realize the idea of Swachh Bharat because cleanliness has always remained a issue with tourism, he added.
He said if the banks and nearby places of River Ganga had been developed on the similar lines than the cleanliness awareness would have included in our habit and we would not have needed Ganga cleanliness drive.
The senior BJP leader said that with tourism regional cottage industries also get strengthened due to that special efforts are made and attention is paid to redress regionalism. In this view chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has shown farsightedness by preserving the heritage and art of Bhopal in the form of Taj Mahal and other places, forts in Vndhya and Bundelkhand regions, palaces and properties to develop as tourist attraction places.
