An artist will never forget his talent whatsoever and this message was clearly showcased through play Haanush. The play was performed at Shaheed Bhavan auditorium here on Thursday marking the second day of a five-day theatre festival Rang Triveni.

The play is adapted from the story by Bhishm Sahni. Directed by Manoj Mishra, the play was performed by the artists of Mandap theatre troupe, Reewa.

The play revolves around the life of a clock maker Haanush. Haanush, since his childhood was adherent to do something different and spectacular in his life. He was always interested in doing something unique from others.

One day Haanush saw a wall clock which was made by a foreign artist. He was so inspired with its design that Haanush decided to make a beautiful and a unique wall clock. He shared his idea with his family and even his family supported him.

Haanush then put all his concentration in making the clock. Forgetting even his married life, Haanush was focused on the clock. He was so passionate about it that it made his family poor. Haanush now had to give up on making the clock as there was no money or any other financial support.

But, with the help of his friends and financers, Haanush was able to complete the clock after hardwork of many years. Once Haanush put up his clock in an exhibition, and it was much appreciated by the King.

The King liked it so much that he ordered his soldiers to take off Haanush’s eyes. But after sometime, when the clock was not working, the king called Haanush to check it. The blind Haanush again made the clock.

“The play is just about to tell people that an artist never gives up on his art what may come,” said that director of the play.
