This project would be an inspiration for other railway stations of the division. People would also extend their support to develop world class facilities in the region.

Central Government has sanctioned the redevelopment of these stations as smart stations. Indian Railway Station Development Corporation (IRSDC) and Municipal Corporation are working to determine the structure of this ambitious project. The institutions situated in front of the platform number 1 of the Gwalior railway station could be shifted for the development of the station as a smart station. The connecting road between bus stand and the railway station would also be more comfortable.

Bhadoria added that the project would be accomplished in the Public-private partnership which would improve the commercial campus. The base of the project is to develop the station. Gwalior is the gateway for the people, who are going from north to south.
