The police came face to face with the armed miscreants, who had gathered in Ranipura to commit dacoity at the house of a contractor living in Gospura. Seeing the police, the miscreants tried to run away, but the police nabbed three of them while others managed to flee. Additional SP Dinesh Kaushal (lashkar) Gwalior said that SSP Santosh Kumar Singh was tipped off that some armed miscreants were planning to commit dacoity in Gospura no 1 on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.
Acting on the information, two police parties were formed to search the area. During the search five miscreants were seen coming to new Ranipura area at about 3 am. When the police challenged them they began to run away. But the police chased them and caught them while two miscreants managed to escape. The Gwalior Police arrested Abdul Hussan, Imran Khan and Ravi Sharma and recovered a revolver, two rounds and an iron rod. Their two associates Sandeep and Putin managed to escape. The police began to search them.
In another case, the police arrested a member of Pappu lohiya gang of Morena with a revolver in Morena district. In a drive to catch absconding miscreants launched under the guidance of SP Morena Navneet Bhasin, additional SP RS Bhadoria and SDOP Jaura KD Sonkiya, the Jaura police arrested Tillu Gosain with a 315 bore country-made revolver and a live cartridge from near a devi temple at Narhela. He carried a reward of Rs3,000 on him.
The Jaura Police was tipped off that Tillu Gosani has come to his village was roaming near devi temple in Narhela to commit some serious crime. The police surrounded the place and nabbed Tillu Gosai and recovered a 315 bore revolver and some live cartridges.
