The dairy owners have opened a front against the milk suppliers who are adamant on selling milk on a high price. The dairy owners have decided that if needed, they would purchase milk from other States.
On the other hand, the milk sellers have installed some stalls at some places in the city and have announced to sell the milk at Rs 50 per litre. It may be noted that a dispute between the milk suppliers and dairy owners has been continuing for a long time over the selling price. Due to the dispute both the parties have gone on strike.
But following an order of the collector, the price of milk did not increase but the milk suppliers filed a petition in the court against the collector and dairy owners.
The secretary, milk owners association, Narendra Mandiliya said that milk suppliers are adamant that they would sell milk at Rs 50 per litre. “We would purchase milk from neighbouring district for which talks are going on. At present milk is being sold between Rs 34 and 36 per litre at the dairies.”
The State president of milk suppliers association, Rajendra Gurjar said that the cost of cattle feed and other materials has increased so after the code of conduct of the lok Sabha elections expires, we would sell milk at Rs 50 per litre at the Chaurahas of the city. For this new members are also being included in the association.
