Governor Lalji Tandon has said that the secret of the art of living is hidden in two to four words.
If they are understood then there is no dissatisfaction in life. Life becomes blissful.
Tandon was addressing the participants on the first day of the three-day 'Alpaviram' programme of Anand Department at Raj Bhavan on Thursday.
Tandon said that nature and man are one. The need is to understand this fact.
He said that when a person's body itself is not his own, how can material things be his.
Identifying this feeling is the basis of living life. Explaining the Ved mantra ‘Idam Namam’ he said that the essence of this mantra is that nothing is mine. Indian philosophy of life is based on this thought.
The prayer to the Almighty also yearns for peace on Earth, space, vegetation, medicine and peace everywhere.
Tandon said that dissatisfaction is the root of all sorrows.
The reason for dissatisfaction is the desire to gain from karma.
If a person adopts religion, works with a sense of duty, meets his requirements, does not accumulate more than what is needed, then his life will be full of joy.
He appreciated the initiative of the ‘Alpaviram’ programme and said that it should be continued.
Secretary to the Governor Manohar Dubey enlightened on the draft and concept of the programme.
He said that material prosperity is not the basis of a happy life.
This is an attempt to introspect and identify oneself by taking a small break from the regular routine.
The programme which was sponsored by the Department of Adhyaatm was attended by the officials and employees of Raj Bhavan.
