Patel was addressing the 32nd convocation ceremony of Rani Durgavati University from Raj Bhavan Lucknow today. State's Higher Education Minister Mohan Yadav also participated in the programme.
Patel said that the present era is the era of global competition; in this era only those can succeed who can stand up to the competition. The creator of excellence can also be the one who is able to harmonize the modern technology with the country's great traditions. Citizens are educated and cultured only from educational institutions.
Harmony in education and technical skills is necessary for the all-round development of the nation. In this direction, the government has made a wide range of policy changes and innovations for qualitative education under the National Education Policy. Efforts at the university level are necessary with widespread deliberations to bring them to the ground. The Governor said that teachers and students studying in higher education institutions must take care of ingenuity and modernity in education. At the same time, it is also necessary to preserve the legacy of its cultural heritage, rich traditions and eternal values. Educational institutions should be aware and sensitive to the burning problems of the society and the country and contribute to their solutions.
In today's era of globalization, we cannot leave education alone. It cannot be limited to a few textbooks. Therefore our curriculum should be such that it should make students conscious of social relations. She said that the young generation of the nation represents the most responsible section of the society.
