Demanding regularisation, guest teachers of the State would soon initiate an agitation against the State Government.
Under the banner of Sanyukta Atithi Shikshak Sangh, the teachers would convene the ‘guest teachers’ conference’ on Saturday at the Ambedkar ground of the city in order to determine the strategy for the agitation.
As many as 20,000 guest teachers from across the state would take part in the conference.
While talking to the media persons here on Friday, Sangh’s member Sunil Parihar told that the government has been ignoring the guest teachers. Sangh would organize the ‘guest teachers’ conference’ on Saturday to determine the strategy for the agitation. Members would be selected from every district in order to form a state level committee. District level committees would be formed during the district conferences, which would be organized in every district.
Parihar stated that guest teachers would submit the memorandum to the governor and would also appeal the teachers’ associations, students’ association and other organizations to support the guest teachers’ agitation.
Sangh’s another member Ajay Pal stated that the government has taken no action on the demands of the guest teachers. Guest teachers are getting very low salaries and it is not possible to manage household with that amount. School Education Minister Vijay Shah had insulted the guest teachers by terming them ‘time-pass’. Guest teachers of the state are raged due to this statement.
Pal said that the state government had assured the guest teachers regarding their regularization. The then Minister of State for School Education, Paras Jain had assured the guest teachers on January 19, 2016 that the demands of the guest teachers would be fulfilled soon but government took no action on the demands.
