Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state vice-president Raghunandan Sharma said that the Goods and Services Tax (GST) would bring revolutionary changes in the tax structure of the country.
Sharma in a statement here on Sunday said, “The current parliament session while coming towards weekend saw positive change over the GST as no negative voices from any leader were heard over it. This change in the political establishment’s attitude raises possibilities that the bill would get parliament clearance.”
Sharma further said that all regional parties including opposition parties and main opposition Congress have given due consideration to the GST in comprehensive public interest.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also respected the feelings of the opposition and the cabinet removed the clause of one per cent extra tax, he added.
He said that the Congress has also left its stubborn attitude and has gone soft over the issue because it was getting isolated in the name of opposition of the GST.
Now, in all possibilities it could be expected that the week starting this Monday conditions for passing of the bill would be made and the bill would be cleared, he added.
The senior BJP leader said that the hyperactivity of PM Modi and success due to that over the GST is at its place but the biggest benefit that would be that the imagination of one country, one taxation would become to reality.
Whole of the country’s markets would have similar prices. The GST taxation structure would bring positive revolutionary change, he added.
He said that with the implementation of GST and the business and commercial environment of the country would see positive change.
